It does take a tad too long to print also, but I did not expect great things for a cheap printer. Paper jams are a common occurance. It does the job and doesn't hurt the pocketbook. This is a nice printer especially for the money. There are a few problems.
Even though slightly out-of-date, third party shipping cost was excessive. Wanted a printer compatible with broken one mainly for cartridge purposes.
HP should be ashamed to be selling this flimsy trash. I have been using HP printers so long I can't remember my first purchase. This printer is nothing more than a piece of junk.
It has a low profile that fits easily on our narrow shelves. It makes beautiful copies. And the design is very nice. The ink has lasted me several months now.
I've gone through several printers in the last few years. Lastly, refill ink cartridges are fairly reasonable, with b/w below $15 and color below $20. It holds up to 80 sheets of paper. I've experienced awful copies, ink that runs out constantly (at $25 or so a pop) or just printers that decide not to work.
This printer is faster than any I've owned. I'm very glad I purchased this printer, I finally have one I can rely on. This one is different. I don't use it for photos, usually, but both color and b/w pages print clearly every time.
so, if you run out of ink, just don't refill at walgreens. Color.Still the colors looked great, even as the pages were rush printed.I then took the cartridges to walgreens to refill, and the ink sucked big time. I printed 2700 or more pages with the original ink. In fast draft setting.
